The Busselton Man Walk Group is part of the national Man Walk Walk Community.
You can find out more about the group and the 80 plus groups around Australia that walk each week.
The Busselton Man Walk is an informal walking group that gather each week to walk and talk in a supportive environment. Helping men in our community to get active and combating isolation.
The group walk for 45 minutes followed by coffee and conversation at Shelter from 7.15 till 8.00am
The walks are either out on the iconic Busselton Jetty or along the foreshore. Returning to the foot of the jetty means that walkers can chose a pace that suits then. No fees or commitment is involved. Turn up when you can and bring a credit card or other electronic means of payment for a coffee at Shelter post walk.
Build a greater understanding of men's health as well as what other men are doing in the community with informal discussions and "Man Chat" presenters on select weeks.
Find out more about the walk, guest presenters and associated men's activities on the Rubix Health FaceBook page.
For participants please join the private Busselton Man Walk Face Book Page.
The success of the Busselton Man Walk has been highlighted by the number of men who have participated in the walk as well as the extensive coverage the group have received since commencing in November 2019. This has included newspapers, TV and radio.
The Man Walk Busselton are passionate about men's health, mental well being and supporting our community. They live this through regular guest presenters, structured discussions and a suite of community activities. The impacts of these have been profound with a Dad's group established for new fathers, incursions into high schools, community walks for up to 200 people and engaging events on a range of topics.
For those whose work or sleep schedule doesn't lend itself to attending our Monday morning walks, we have introduced a later afternoon walk on Wednesdays at 6.00pm. Round the day off perfectly with a walk on the Busselton Jetty and talk to other men in a positive and supportive context.
The Man Walk Group Busselton are supporting a free event on 19th April 2021 in partnership with the Armed for Life and supported by The Esplanade Hotel Busselton, RUBIX Health and Rio Tinto.
See flyer for details and register ASAP to secure your seat at this opportunity to hear from how parents, teachers and communities can foster resilience, well being and healthy relationships in our families and communities. Adults only event.
This event, presented in partnership with Rio Tinto, CinefestOZ and Shelter, was a great opportunity to increase awareness around what manhood looks like through an indigenous lens in today's Australia.
