Little Matters are a small team of perinatal specialists that include Psychologists, Lactation Consultants and Occupational Therapists.
Little Matters is a clinic based in Canberra, however, Perinatal Psychologist Mollie Coles is based in Busselton and sees people at GeoBay Health Centre and online.
Little Matters was established in an effort to provide holistic support to women and their families as they navigate the sometimes challenging path of postpartum and early parenthood.
Mollie is passionate about supporting all people through the perinatal period and beyond. She views the therapeutic relationship as the anchor to therapy and provides a safe, comfortable, collaborative and accepting space for you to gain support in the changes and challenges of pre-conception, pregnancy, and parenthood, and holds space and support through grief and loss during these periods. Mollie values the wealth of expertise held by the individuals and families she supports, who have the deepest understanding of their own experience. Through utilising evidence based therapeutic frameworks, Mollie works with you and alongside you to create meaningful change.
Mollie is especially interested in supporting people in the journey to becoming a parent and preparing for, and journeying through, the postpartum period. She finds immense value in drawing on Neuroprotective Developmental Care principles to support parents with sleep, breastfeeding and cry-fuss problems, and supporting couples and parents to improve their relationships and understand their attachments with one another and their children.
Since becoming a mother herself, Mollie has a deep appreciation for Matrescense. She empathises with the many challenges, socioemotional and physical changes, disrupted sleep, and fatigue, faced by parents and families during the perinatal period.
Clients with a GP referral and Mental Health Care Plan via the Better Access to Mental Health Scheme are eligible for Medicare rebates of up to 10 treatment sessions per calendar year. Clients who self-refer may be able to claim benefits from their private health insurance.
Mollie is available for appointments via Telehealth and in person, consulting from GeoBay Health Centre at 55 Bussell Highway, Busselton WA.
